Three-piece design, screwed Trunnion ball valves (supported ball) provides very low pressure drop. The cylindrical bore contributes to the low pipe resistance, and is beneficial in applications of abrasive media. Commonly used as shut-off valves, especially in oil & gas, refineries, power and chemical plants.
SKVT are valves with nominal dimeters DN450 to DN500.
In the dimensions DN450 - 500 the ball is supported in the top and bottom by bearings (trunnion supported), has 3-piece body and the valve has the designation SKVT.
Their intended use are demand applications where used as shut-off valves. The valves are mainly used at oil & gas, especially transfer pipelines, but also in refineries, chemical, power and paper plants. Due to a full bore construction they do not affect loss of energy and pressure drop or flow disturbances (high Cv) when fully opened.
The valve can be delivered with valve seats both in PTFE 53 (PTFE stabilized with stainless steel powder) and in HiCo (High Cobalt Alloy). HiCo (High Cobalt Alloy) seats are as option available in locked design, scraper design or a combination of both. The valve seats can be replaced without removing the actuator.
