Principle of operation:

A high power circular polarized Microwave pulse is emitted from the Sending unit to the Receiving unit in a transmission chain of approximately 200 pulses per second. If the path between the Sender and Receiver is blocked by any object or material which absorbs or reflects microwave energy the Receiving unit will no longer detect the complete transmission chain and indicate via Relay for automatic indication and process control requirements.

1. Level measuring through lime kiln's ceramic wall
  
  Level measurement in a lime kiln is difficult due to the high temperature of 1000°C inside it. Because of that isotopic measurements are often used, but the use of radioactive sources is associated with law restrictions and hindered maintenance. The solution is Gladiator microwave level switch. Its signal penetrates easily the firebrick wall.

2. Predictive maintenance - chute blokage prevention
  
  Microwave Switches are traditionally used as Blocked Chute switches. All the Microwave switches available in the market tells you that the chute is blocked. Some switches can give a false alarm and trip because of build up on the chute walls. This causes lot of downtime to the site costing them valuable time and money. Hawks' Microwave switch Gladiator Gen 3 thanks to strong signal can work while other similar switches fails. Its other advantage is secondary alarm switch that can be set for material build up alarming.
