One point A15 and two point B15 level switch models are equipped with non-sparking brass displacers which are used for high and high-high alarm in tanks with floating roof.
Model A15 can be used for floating roof detection or liquid switch point level.
Displacer switches can be optionally equipped in Proof-er® ground check to test switch functionality without having to climb the tank.
Measuring ranges: up to 6 mMaximum pressure: 55,1 barMinimum medium density: 0,4 kg/dm³Displacers adjustable at any point along the suspension cableField adjustable set point and switch differentialWide choice of displacer materialsWide choice of housings and switch mechanismsStandard anti-corrosive protection
Displacer switches utilize buoyancy force acting on immersed displacers in the liquid to detect and convert liquid level changes to signal outputs.
Operating principle is based on buoyancy force acting on displacers hung on suspension cable connected with spring. Increase in buoyancy force acting on displacers immersed in the liquid causes spring compression which then moves magnetic sleeve into magnet field which activates switch mechanism. Magnetic sleeve moves inside the non-magnetic tube which isolates switch mechanism from measured medium. Built-in spring stroke limit stops prevent “false alarms” caused by sudden liquid level changes.
